Lansons has recruited James Dowling in the newly created role of Head of Public Policy. James joins the award winning consultancy today (Tuesday 16th February) to strengthen Lansons’ growing capability and demand in the public affairs, policy and Government relations space.
James is a highly experienced public policy specialist, having spent five years at HM Treasury running the Finance Bill team, before becoming head of the insurance sector policy division. He left the Treasury in 2011 and joined FleishmanHillardFishburn where he was a director in the corporate team until late in 2015.
James studied at Cambridge, and initially entered Government in the Department for Media Culture & Sport, before moving to the Treasury in 2006. James will lead the existing policy specialists at Lansons, reporting into director Ralph Jackson.
