Award-winning financial journalist Eleanor Lawrie joined the BBC in 2017 as its Business and Economics researcher before becoming a TV output producer for the Business Unit. She now works as a journalist in the news analysis team, and also writes for online sections including Technology of Business and The Boss. Before the BBC she held roles at the Mail’s financial website ThisisMoney and Citywire Wealth Manager, after starting her career at Investment Adviser.
Senior Producer, BBC
Amanda Evans is a senior producer in the Business team, currently working on BBC World TV’s In Business Africa and BBC Breakfast. Since joining the BBC 10 years ago, she’s also worked for 5 Live Wake Up to Money, BBC World TV’s Business Live, BBC Monitoring, BBC News, the Victoria Derbyshire programme, BBC Parliament, R2’s Jeremy Vine Show and BBC R4’s Money Box. Since January 2019, Amanda has been a super champion for the BBC’s 50:50 Equality Project, the biggest collective action on increasing representation in BBC content that there’s ever been.
