Senior Vice President, NY

We're looking for a Senior Vice President to expand and bolster our offering, working with top names in asset and wealth management, banking, FinTech and more across the financial sector. The ideal candidate for the role pairs deep media relations and content development experience with creativity and problem-solving ability.

The Senior Vice President is integral to our client teams, responsible for the smooth running of client programs, sourcing new business and driving new business pitches and supporting overall agency marketing and operations. This is an opportunity to work with interesting clients and stakeholders from across the global financial sector and have a meaningful impact on the agency’s culture and way of doing business.

About the role

• Lead and implement client programs with the support of the wider client team
• Provide counsel and advice to senior-level client stakeholders on communications strategy
• Manage internal teams, provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members
• Source and drive new business opportunities
• Support on marketing activity such as events, content development and amplification and more
• Support in establishing and implementing operational processes and procedures as the agency continues to grow and maintaining a collaborative culture

About you

• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Ideally 10 years’ relevant communications experience demonstrating career growth - partly, if not wholly – spent working in an agency
• Demonstrated experience, expertise, and understanding of the financial sector
• Strong experience developing and implementing holistic communications plans, including media relations, social media, and content creation
• Track record of leading teams and helping to develop others
• Proven ability to source and close new business

Desirable but not essential:

• Experience working cross culturally
• Crisis communications experience
• Understanding of and contacts within the broader financial services media landscape
• Working knowledge of PR tools, including Business Wire, Cision, Constant Contact, Factiva
