Junior HR Manager (maternity cover)

We are looking for a confident HR generalist (HR advisor/junior HR manager) to join our HR team to cover maternity leave.

In this role, you will be primarily involved in running programmes and processes to support the full employee lifecycle - with particular emphasis on embedding our values and culture at each stage. You will also provide professional support and advice to colleagues on a wide range of people activities such as recruitment, development and wellbeing.


About the role

You will be an integral member of our HR team working collaboratively to support our senior HR manager, whilst also helping to develop our junior HR executive. In this role you will work across a broad spectrum of HR activity such as:

  • Review processes
  • Recruitment
  • Absence management
  • Maternity, paternity and shared parental leave
  • Managing our HR database
  • Employee onboarding and leaver processes
  • People and agency awards
  • Work experience and intern programmes
  • Cultural initiatives and projects
  • Internal communication

    About you
    • 2 years min. relevant experience
    • Excellent communicator (written/verbal) with confident presentation skills
    • Solutions orientated with a ‘can do’ proactive manner
    • Organised, top-notch time management with the ability to work at pace
    • Collaborative, considerate of others and able to build relationships at all levels
    • Strategic thinker who can inform the bigger picture and align with business goals
    • Trusted advisor with working knowledge of HR practice, trends and employment legislation
    • Experience within PR agency is ideal

    Start date: mid November 2021
    Estimated finish date: mid to late January 2023, with possible extension
