HR Junior Executive

We’re looking for someone keen to kick-start their HR career in an insight-focused, ideas-led communications consultancy.

We work with established brands, challenger brands and pioneering start-ups to shape and build reputations. We advise on their ESG credentials and on today’s pressing issues, and we form relationships with the influencers that matter to them. Shortlisted for every PR agency award in 2020, we have international reach with offices in New York and agency partners worldwide.

About the role

You will be an integral member of our established HR team of two, running the ‘employee lifecycle’ (attract, hire and retain) and cultural programmes whilst developing your business and people skills. Acting as the linchpin and foundation for our HR team, you will play an important role in communicating directly with employees, providing daily support and working collaboratively with a broad range of internal stakeholders. Training and development is provided.

  • Day-to-Day: Build rapport with employees and be a regular point of contact for HR processes, requests and queries
  • Recruitment and staffing: Assist with outreach campaigns, process incoming CVs, coordinate interviews, maintain recruitment files and evaluation documents
  • Onboarding: Welcome new joiners to Lansons, organise induction programmes and coordinate diaries, help facilitate work experience and intern programmes
  • Career development: Support career assessments, collate performance feedback, create review briefing documents, coordinate diaries and organise review meetings
  • HR data and systems: Manage our interactive HR system (Bob) and databases, track holiday and sickness records, ensure benefits and policy documents are up-to-date
  • Wellbeing, Diversity and inclusion: Help drive wellbeing and culture initiatives, contribute to brainstorms, track diversity and inclusion performance, collate staff survey feedback and analyse data
  • Events, celebrations and awards: Facilitate a wide range of professional and personal celebrations and events (i.e. gift ordering – we do quite a lot of this!), help compose annual workplace award entries
About you

A career in HR requires fine balance between spot-on organisational skills and creativity.

  • Absolute discretion – we regularly handle confidential information
  • Organisational skills, you find satisfaction in keeping things organised
  • Excellent attention to detail, particularly with data
  • Good with processes, and ensuring they are followed
  • Proactive and forward thinking with a ‘can-do’ attitude
  • Solutions focused with excellent problem-solving skills
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, contributing creative and new ideas
  • Confident communicator, written and verbal
  • Proficient user of Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint programmes
  • Desire to understand a communications business
