Public affairs - Introduction
2005 saw the creation of Lansons Public Affairs and the division has certainly hit the ground running. Having firstly hired some of the best consultants in the marketplace and then acquired the established Jackson Consultancy, Lansons Public Affairs is now one of the most experienced and largest political consultancies in the financial services sector.

So although we are new and fresh, we have built on the solid foundations of Lansons' 15 years experience as a specialist in the financial and professional services sectors as well as over 20 years experience amongst our PA consultants.

Of course given the history of our consultants we also draw upon our wider experience advising clients in other business areas including technology, transport, environment and the public sector.

We understand that you cannot divorce media relations from policy development. Policies of tomorrow are formed in the newspapers of today, just as debates and events in 'Westminster Village' emerge and appear as national news stories. Given the power of the media in shaping public policy, we believe our experience in political lobbying is perfectly balanced by Lansons' unrivalled strength in media relations and we capitalise on our shared expertise at Lansons.

There is no substitute for personal involvement in the daily intrigue of political life, which is why all our consultants are politically active individuals across the parties. Politics is our life, and you too can reap the benefit of our obsession.
