Clerkenwell Design Week - 22nd to 24th May

Tuesday 22nd May sees the start of Clerkenwell design week (CDW), one of the most important events in the design calendar. The three day festival celebrates design’s creative richness, social relevance and technological advancements through an exciting programme of workshops, presentations, product launches and debates. CDW features many elements including exhibitions, installations, street entertainment, music, food, parties and receptions.

This year sees Lansons Communications taking part for the very first time. We are collaborating with Creative Clerkenwell who launched as an initiative aimed at connecting different parts of the design community during Clerkenwell Design Week in 2011. Over the course of CDW we will be opening our transformed outside space into a courtyard of creativity.

Some of the events which will be taking place in our transformed courtyard:

• Creative Clerkenwell will be using the courtyard for their 1st birthday party on Tuesday 22nd May.
• Various making activities and demonstrations by artists and design makers – Tuesday 22nd May to Thursday 24th May between 4pm and 6pm.
• Designer and historian Jane Young will include the Lansons building in her walking/drawing tours on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons.
